NATHANIAL-ELLIOT COAD / NEMCOAD

People. Policy. Possibility.

Exploring the relationship between people, professional practice and public systems, and what we can learn, questions and do differently.

WELCOME

Good conversations can change how we see the world.

I'm Nathanial-Elliot Coad, Founder and CEO of YOUTHOOD, a Social Work undergraduate and a contributor to conversations across social development, public policy, professional practice and systems change.

My work is concerned with how people and institutions understand one another, how established assumptions can be examined and how shared understanding can create possibilities for meaningful action.

Connecting experiences, institutions and ideas.

AREAS OF CONTRIBUTION

Different disciplines often encounter the same underlying questions. NEMCOAD is a space to examine the connections.

01 / PEOPLE

Social development & belonging

Youth development, identity, opportunity, participation and the environments shaping people's lives.

↗

02 / POLICY

Public systems & responsibility

Public service reform, governance, institutional decision-making and the consequences of policy in practice.

↗

03 / POSSIBILITY

Leadership, learning & change

Collective intelligence, reflective professional learning, collaboration and possibilities for improving existing approaches.

↗

A PHILOSOPHY OF CONTRIBUTION

Not every contribution needs to be a new solution.

Sometimes the most valuable contribution is a better question, an overlooked perspective, or space for someone else to think.

My approach is to start with people, understand the wider system, challenge without oversimplifying and turn understanding into responsibility.
