SPEAKING & FACILITATING

Conversations that move understanding forward.

Talks, panels and facilitated sessions designed to make complex questions approachable and create space for meaningful reflection, dialogue and action.

My approach to speaking and facilitation brings together recognisable experiences, critical questions, wider system perspectives and practical reflection.

Rather than asking audiences to adopt a prescribed answer, I aim to support people in examining their own assumptions, hearing different perspectives and identifying what they might do differently.

I contribute to panels, workshops, moderated discussions and professional learning settings, with content tailored to the audience and supported by relevant evidence and experience.

The aim is not to own the conversation.

AN ENABLING APPROACH

Connect. Deepen. Reflect. Apply. Challenge.

Connect

1

Begin with something familiar, recognisable or relevant to the audience.

Deepen

2

Introduce wider perspectives, evidence, context and the complexity behind initial assumptions.

Reflect

3

Create space for people to reconsider their own understanding, experiences and responsibilities.

Apply

4

Explore how new understanding can inform decisions, relationships or professional practice.

Leave audiences with a question, responsibility or consideration that encourages continued learning and action.

Challenge

FACILITATION JOURNEY

Subjects that connect people and systems.

AREAS OF DISCUSSION

Youth agency & institutional influence

Participation, shared decision-making, adolescence and the conditions needed for meaningful youth influence.

Identity, belonging & practice

Culture, relationships, representation and reflective professional responsibility.

Leadership, learning & change

Shared leadership, multi-agency thinking and bringing experience into organisational development.

Different settings. Shared possibilities.

From conference stages and professional workshops to smaller discussions and collaborative spaces, I welcome opportunities to contribute to conversations that connect people, policy and practice.

The format may differ, but the intention remains consistent: to encourage thoughtful engagement, broaden understanding and create space for meaningful contributions.
